EJ In Portland
EJ is out in Portland this weekend for the RMC Portland recitals! We wish all of our friends in Oregon good luck as they take the stage and rock the house!

Super Smash Bros Open Mic
Test your skills against other students and teachers in RMC's first ever Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament / Open Mic! Face off against other student to claim the title of RMC's Student Smash Champion! Teachers will face off in a side tournament and the top teacher will take on the top student in a final Teacher Vs. Student round! Enjoy food and drinks for adults and kids as you enjoy the sweet sounds of our open mic performers while watching the mayhem unfold in the Smash Bros Tournament!Â
To sign up for the tournament you must also perform in the open mic. You can perform in the Open Mic without competing in the tournament, but you cannot play in the tournament without performing in the open mic.Â
The entry fee for the open mic / tournament is $5 per performer / competitor.Â
You must be an active student of RMC to sign up for the tournament.

Every week we're gonna ask a student and their teacher to each name a song that they've been jamming on! This week we feature Alana and her teacher Dan Hutchinson!

Video Of The Week
This week we put our phones to good use! Using the slow motion feature on the phone, we were able to capture the sound producing vibrations of a drum head. All sound is created by vibration and this video helped us demonstrate that to a drum student (plus the sound of a low tom in slow motion is awesome!)
