Student / Teacher Juke Box
Every week we're gonna ask a student and their teacher to each name a song that they've been jamming on! This week we feature
Mark Lovito and his teacher Dustin! Mark is heading off to college so this was taken at his last lesson. Good luck Mark!
Mark:
"Surf Wax America" - Weezer
"I like this song because it has a sort of a Beach Boys feel to it and it's just really fun to play."
Dustin:
"Crushed" - Cocteau Twins
"I love the vocalist of the band mainly. Elizabeth Fraser. She doesn't have real lyrics, often they're just weird made up words, but she has the best vocal range and the coolest, unique style."
RMC Featured Video
This week we're featuring another song with a horn section! Sara got the crowd groovin with her funky drumming stylings on "Sir Duke" at the Rockin' Recital. Go Sara!
This Day In Music History
1968 - Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd released their second album 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' in the UK. It is both the last Pink Floyd album on which Syd Barrett would appear and the only studio album to which all five band members contributed. The album sleeve was designed by Hipgnosis, a new company formed by the band's friends Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey 'Po' Powell, who were paid £110 for their efforts.
