RMC Birthday Bash!
We had an awesome time hosting a birthday party for our friend Shane this past Sunday! The party attendants broke into 3 bands who each rehearsed and performed a song on our outdoor stage. The bands performed killer renditions of "Love Me Do" "I Love Rock and Roll" and "High Hopes." When they weren't rocking on their instruments, they were getting into some freeze dancing to the future sounds of DJ Sheehy! Check out some of the performance pictures in the slideshow below!
Portland Recitals
Portland had their recital this past weekend and they ROCKED the house. Check out this slideshow of some of the fun!

Yasmeen:
"Headspace" - Lewis Capaldi
"I like this song because I like his voice and I like how it helps me relax."
Antonia:
"Toothbrush And My Table" - Grace Potter and The Nocturnals
"I like this song because its bluesy and I'm really into Grace Potter's voice. It's got kind of a rasp that's great."

Dream Team
RMC Studios and WT Music & Son are teaming up to make instrument rentals easy this year!
WT Music & Son’s Summer and Fall 2K19
“Beat My Rental” Program
Tis the season for graduation parties, barbecues, summer vacations and outdoor sports. However, for some parents, another adventure has begun and that’s the voyage into your child’s band and/or orchestra music education. Teachers will be handing out some information about renting instruments sometime between June and October. This can represent both an exciting AND confusing time for students and parents alike.
However, if you are an RMC student, you have a leg up and a friendly voice of reason on your side through this process. WT Music & Son is offering their knowledge and expertise of the school band and orchestra rental industry to parents as well as a unique rental program that offers parents a choice rather than just a singular option and application to fill out.
Schedule some time to discuss your school’s music program with president and owner of WT Music & Son, Chris Tarnowski. Chris is the third generation of his family’s 60 year old musical instrument rental, repair and sales business. His family has seen everything in the world of brass, woodwind and orchestral music.
You can show the rental application distributed by your music teacher to Chris and he can help you with the following:
1.) Musical instruments in general. Chris’ family has watched thousands of students get their start in music over the years and knows everything there is to know about getting started on each instrument. Unfortunately, there is a flood of instruments in the market right now that you DON’T want your child to be playing on. Chris can help you avoid common pitfalls and mistakes parents make.
2.) Rental programs and why you rent versus buy an instrument. There is a lot of fine print and language in rental applications and the world of music can be somewhat overwhelming and challenging, even to those parents that consider themselves “music minded”. Chris Tarnowski can help you see the forest from the trees on everything.
3.) Chris can show you how WT Music & Son can essentially “beat your rental” by explaining how his rental program beats the rental application you have been given in terms of price, quality and service.
All consultations about musical instruments and rentals are free of charge and there’s no obligation to rent with WT Music & Son after your consultation with Chris.
The family at WT Music & Son knows you deserve an enriching and supportive environment for your family’s music education. Don’t delay. Call WT Music & Son today!
EJ's Thought Bubble Contest
Enter the contest using following link: https://www.rmcstudios.com/contest
As the fearless leader behind RMC Studios, EJ's brain is chock full of introspective musings. But we want to know what's in your thought bubble too! So we're having a contest to see who has the deepest thoughts! Winner gets a month of free lessons and runner up will receive some of our new RMC merch! You'll need to come up with your own deep thoughts in the style of EJ's Thought Bubble. Here's how it works:
1.) Give us a quote. (Could be anything that causes you to think deeply.)
2.) Write an EJ "thought bubble" for the picture below with a sentence describing what could be going on. (Don't worry about putting his thought in a literal bubble in the picture. We will do that for you if your entry is picked! Look at the end of this post to find a sample entry.)
3.) List a song and a detail, fun fact, or personal connection to it. (Don't worry about writing anything long. One sentence is totally acceptable!)
First place: FREE LESSONS FOR A MONTH
Second place: FREE RMC MERCH PACK
This contest is open to all readers! Even if you're not a student of RMC! You can gift the free lessons too. We will pick a winner next week. So what are you waiting for? Let's see those deep thoughts!
Enter the contest using following link: https://www.rmcstudios.com/contest
Sample Entry:
1.) Quote:
“The Dude abides. I don’t know about you, but I take comfort in that; knowin’ he’s out there. The Dude. Takin’ ‘er easy for all us sinners.”
- The Stranger
2.) Thought Bubble over EJ:
Why Couldn't I receive the gift of dance?
Caption:
EJ attempts to disguises his sibling Envy as he watches his brother on the dance floor, throwing shapes his mind couldn't even begin to fathom.
3.) Song Choice:
"Backbone" - Gojira
Gojira is a heavy metal band whose music is heavier than the pressure at the bottom of the ocean. They write songs about saving the whales and treating our planet better and they also hail from France.
(You don't need to include a video. I did just for fun!)
